Chugach Range Riders is an equestrian club organized to promote the care and welfare of horses in Alaska. It was first organized in 1958 and is the oldest equestrian club in Alaska. Activities include trail rides, workshops on care of horse and tack, parades, etc. In years past, CRR has raised money for a large-animal anesthetic machine for use by all Anchorage veterinarians, and a horse trailer for use by the SPCA in rescuing injured or abandoned horses.
CRR generally meets the first Tuesday of each month at the Tozier Track dog-mushers' clubhouse at 3400 E. Tudor, Anchorage, Ak. During the summer, the group may meet at an arena, or at an individual's home, for potlucks, videos, tack cleaning advice, horse training assistance, etc. Check this space or call or email one of the officers below to find out if there has been a change in the usual meeting time/place.
